Instead of Norton Antivirus?

I need something different to Norton Antivirus as it is crap and so is there support. Does anyone know a good one that I can buy or even better download free that will stop all viruses so I dont end up with BSOD.

Man - you got some bad answers here from poor AV like AVG to rogue AV like stop sign.

If you wish to paid for a AV then the best is Nod32 2nd best is Bitdefender or kaspersky.

Windows Defender is a good one. It is in a beta version only though, so don't expect it to be top-of-the-line yet.
